Origine
A partir de la rose de Damas – Rosa centifolia – on récolte les pétales que nous vous offrons. Cette rose a été liée à la politique et à la gastronomie. Dans la Rome décadente on mangeait des gâteaux de rose, de la confiture et des plats assaisonnés aux pétales de rose, des vins à la rose. Les jeunes femmes, après leur bain, se frottaient le corps avec de la poudre de rose et grignotaient des pastilles à la rose afin de purifier leur haleine.
Description
Les fleurs sont cueillies dés le début de la floraison et les pétales sont immédiatement séchés. Ils dégagent un subtil parfum de miel. Ils sont spécialement sélectionnés par nos soins et sont à conserver bien au sec.
Son essence sert à préparer l’eau de rose. Ses pétales retrouvent un intérêt dans la cuisine de nos jours et jouent un rôle important dans la composition des pots pourris.
