PRÉSENTATION. Avec les graines de céréales rôties, les fruits secs formaient la base de la nourriture des peuples romain, grec et égyptien. Les fruits secs sont bien plus qu’une gourmandise, ce sont avant tout de véritables concentrés d’énergie. Ils possèdent des vertus à la fois énergétiques et nutritives de haut niveau rassemblées dans un faible volume. Délicieusement sucrés, ils apportent des glucides mais aussi des vitamines, des sels minéraux, des fibres, des lipides et même des protéines.
Nous vous proposons une gamme variée de fruits secs pour mettre du punch et de la vitalité dans vos plats ! Issus d’une sélection rigoureuse, nous avons retenus l’abricot, la figue, le pruneau et les raisins Golden, de Malaga, de Corinthe et de Smyrne.
Origine et histoire
L’abricotier Armeniaca vulgaris pousse spontanément en Mandchourie, son pays d’origine. Il fait son apparition en France au XVIième siècle dans la vallée du Rhône et en Provence. L’abricotier est un arbre exigeant quant à la température et sa floraison hâtive lui fait redouter les gelées printanières. Il est certain qu’on la cultivé depuis la plus haute Antiquité.
Les abricots que nous avons sélectionnés proviennent de Turquie et ont une couleur jaune-orangé. Leur chair est fruitée et tendre.
Description et caractéristique
L’abricot est un vrai concentré d’oligo-éléments et de vitamines. Il est très nutritif, antianémique, apéritif. Il est caractérisé par sa teneur en vitamine A et C,en phosphore, en magnésium, en calcium, en sodium et bien d’autres.
