Origine et histoire
Le combava est un agrume de la taille d’un citron vert et à la peau rugueuse. Ce citron aux notes intenses et exotiques des îles rappelle légèrement le parfum de la citronnelle. Originaire d’Indonésie du côté de Bali, sa culture a été introduite à l’ïle Maurice dans l’Océan Indien par Pierre Poivre. On le retrouve sur l’île de la Réunion et à Madagascar où on utilise les feuilles et le fruit.
